FORM Method

The Architecture of Becoming - Applied

FORM is the philosophy.

The FORM Method is how we work with what we discover.

There is a structure to it.

There is never a template for you.

Human beings don't arrive in neat modules, and transformation rarely happens in a straight line.

We may begin with business and find ourselves talking about belonging.

Start with confidence and discover we're actually talking about safety.

Begin with procrastination and uncover a commitment you didn't know you were honouring.

The framework gives us somewhere to stand.

The person tells us where to go.

SURVEY

Before changing anything, we understand what is already there.

What has shaped you?

What do you believe?

What roles have you learned to play?

What earns safety, approval, belonging or success?

What patterns keep appearing?

What have you come to accept as simply “the way I am”?

This isn't an assessment of what's wrong with you.

It's curiosity about what made sense.

Because behaviour that looks irrational today may once have been an entirely intelligent response to the world you were living in.

Before we redesign the architecture, we understand why it was built that way.

BLUEPRINT

Once we can see what exists, we can ask a much more interesting question:

What do you actually want?

Not what looks impressive.

Not what everybody else appears to be building.

Not what you decided you should want ten years ago.

What matters now?

How do you want to work?

How do you want to live?

What do you want your relationships, time, money, health, ambition and contribution to support?

A blueprint isn't a rigid life plan.

It's intention.

Because if we don't consciously decide what we're building towards, old architecture has a remarkable habit of rebuilding itself.

DEMOLITION

Some things will no longer belong.

Old rules.

Inherited beliefs.

Roles you've outgrown.

Standards that were never yours.

Promises you made to yourself a long time ago.

This is where we begin questioning what has previously been treated as fact.

Is it true?

What else is true?

We also look for competing commitments.

You may consciously want greater visibility while simultaneously being committed to avoiding judgement.

You may want a bigger business while being deeply committed to protecting family time.

You may want more money while carrying an old belief about what wealthy people are like.

That isn't self-sabotage.

Two parts of the architecture may simply be trying to achieve different things.

We don't demolish indiscriminately.

We decide what no longer deserves to determine what happens next.

CONSTRUCTION

Insight matters.

But eventually something has to be built.

A conversation happens.

A boundary is set.

A decision is made.

A different standard is established.

Something uncomfortable is attempted.

You discover that the thing your nervous system predicted would be catastrophic… wasn't.

This is where confidence becomes less about convincing yourself and more about evidence.

You begin accumulating experiences that say:

I can handle this.

Not because fear has disappeared.

Because fear is no longer making every decision.

FINISHES

Architecture isn't complete because the walls are standing.

Eventually it has to become a place you actually live.

The same is true of change.

This stage is about integration.

Standards.

Language.

Environment.

Relationships.

Rituals.

Choices.

The ordinary things that quietly determine whether change becomes part of life or remains something you once understood in a coaching conversation.

Because transformation isn't the breakthrough.

It's what remains after the breakthrough has stopped feeling exciting.

THE METHOD IS STRUCTURED. THE WORK ISN'T SCRIPTED.

Two people can arrive with exactly the same problem and need completely different conversations.

That's why I don't work from predetermined scripts or force people through exercises because “that's what comes next”.

I bring FORM.

I bring more than three decades of experience.

I bring questions, challenge, intuition, perspective and complete attention.

You bring the material.

Together, we discover what the work requires.
